Who Are We?

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Inc. and its affiliates operate theme parks and entertainment venues throughout North America including SeaWorld® Orlando and San Diego, Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark® in Orlando and San Diego, Busch Gardens® Tampa and Discovery Cove®.   Our corporate group also consists of Adventure Island®, Aquatica SeaWorld’s Waterpark®, Busch Gardens®, Discovery Cove®, Sesame Place®, and Water Country USA®.

This privacy policy explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your personal information is collected and used through our website.

What Information Do We Collect from You?

The personal information and data we collect includes the following:

  • Name and contact data. We collect your title, first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number and other similar contact data.
  • Career history. We collect information such as the title/publication you work for.

Company Press Releases

We store your contact information, such as your name and email address, as well as the publication you work for in order to provide you with press releases to keep you informed of corporate news and events relating to our business. We only store this information and contact you, if your publication or area of expertise relates to our industry and we deem you to have a genuine interest in our business.

We send press releases on an ad hoc basis, as and when we have relevant information to share.

We store your information until you request to no longer receive press releases from us (unless we are required by law to store the information for a longer period in which case we store the information for the period required by applicable law).

We store your contact information, such as your name and email address, as well as the publication you work for in order to invite you on press trips to our parks. Events

We store your contact information, such as your name and email address, as well as the publication you work for in order to invite you to events relating to our parks or destination. We only store this information and contact you, if your publication or area of expertise relates to our industry and we deem you to have a genuine interest in our business.

Media Drop

We store your contact information, such as your name and postal address, as well as the publication you work for in order to fulfil media drops. We only store this information and contact you, if your publication or area of expertise relates to our industry and we deem you to have a genuine interest in our business.

Our legal basis for doing so is that our processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests in promoting our business.

To Prevent Harm to Us, Our Products or Services or to Bring or Defend Legal Actions

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy

The SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment website that links to this Privacy Policy is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment does not market any of its products online for children under the age of 16, nor does SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment design its online applications, advertisements and other features to attract an audience of children under the age of 16.  Although certain pages within the website may reference “kids” or “children,” SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment strictly intends for such portions of the website to be used only by adults (such as parents) or children of the age 16 or older.
