Great!!!

26 Jun 2017

I booked our Dine with Shamu tickets as an add on mainly because my 4 year old grandson is whale mad (no, really he knows all the different species, he even swims like one!).
We arrived at the allotted time and shown to our seats, (every table has great views, behind a glass wall). First our drinks orders were taken and our waitress showed us where the buffet lunch was. The lunch was an all you can eat affair, hot and cold food which was of great standard and choice.
After about half hour the whales entered the training pool (I call it a pool, but it's enormous) I think there were four or five. They swam around for a while and then their trainers arrived.
The interaction between trainer and whale is quite touching, all done with hand signals and of course rewards, but if they don't want to do anything they are not made to. For about half an hour we were given a fantastic insight into these wonderful creatures.
Afterwards there were people around to answer questions, to which my grandson and granddaughter had many.
This experience was incredible value for money and I would highly recommend it.

Just one thing Seaworld must look into however.
I booked direct through their UK phone number and was emailed tickets and instructions. The instructions said that I was booked for "dinner" and to book in with their information centre at 3pm, for dinner at 4:30pm. When we got to the park in the morning I thought I'd try to do it then so I wouldn't have to do it later. Well, thank goodness I did because they were only doing a lunch time "Dine with Shamu", therefore had I followed instructions we would have missed the whole experience.

Seaworld as a whole is just the best, so much so we went there three times in our two week holiday.
